    The Child Within

The voice clamouring to be heard in us all; I sing for the voice of the child I was, on the streets, sleeping rough with no love coming in.

    Lightning Struck

Being struck by lightning is something you don't forget. The same applies to sexual abuse and torture. I wanted to use a lightning strike as an analogy to what it's like for a child contending with the actions of a psychopathic paedophile. I've survived both – both can kill you.

Russell Roberts — vocals, ukulele · Thomas Kogge — acoustic guitar, bass, drums, keyboard · Lawrie Minson — harmonica, banjo · Andrew Clermont — fiddle, mandolin, acoustic guitar

    Paddle Steamer Princess

I've watched the paddle steamers beating their way along the mighty Murray River (moorundie to some of the indigenous peoples who live along this river). I wanted to tell a story of a love lost to the river, and the grief and eternal searching by the bereaved for her lover lost.

Russell Roberts — vocals, ukulele · Thomas Kogge — acoustic guitar, bass, drums, keyboard · Lawrie Minson — harmonica, banjo · Andrew Clermont — fiddle, tenor banjo, acoustic guitar · Jack Crawford — backing vocals

    Okay

If you want to get inside my head, some things are better left unsaid. Okay?

Russell Roberts — vocals, ukulele · Thomas Kogge — electric guitar, bass, drums, percussion · Lawrie Minson — harmonica · Jack Crawford — backing vocals

    Riders On The Wind

I love the wind, even when it is a mighty cyclonic force that you know can take your life. When the desert wind blows I feel it fill me with what I believe is the essence of the country. On the ocean the wind can carry the scent of the land, or the ocean itself. I guess in some ways I have been riding the wind.

Russell Roberts — vocals, ukulele · Thomas Kogge — acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass, drums, percussion · Lawrie Minson — harmonica, banjo · Andrew Clermont — mandolin, acoustic guitar · Jack Crawford — backing vocals

    Thirst

We know drought in Australia. The global climate crisis is one cause of the lack of water, so too the maltreatment of mother earth over the past four thousand years. Mankind's quest for power and supremacy over nature has seen the earth's cloak of rain inducing forests destroyed resulting in the creation of vast deserts.

Russell Roberts — vocals, ukulele · Thomas Kogge — bass, drums · Lawrie Minson — harmonica, banjo · Andrew Clermont — mandolin · Jack Crawford — backing vocals
