Cameron White has worked in the war-torn desert of Iraq, but his passion for digging into the dim distant past for answers is gone. It is the future that holds the vast unknown, and the future must be dealt with now. He is drawn to Antarctica, the last wild frontier, where corporations struggling to survive in turbulent economic times have turned their attention. A wonderful world awaits those who venture into the land of ice.

When two men find something of importance beneath the ice of Antarctica it begins a powerful struggle between an archaeologist and a megalomaniac, one who seeks to discover the truth that lies beneath the ice and the other who desires ultimate power and wealth. When research teams are sent into the world below what they discover is beyond all expectations. The extraordinary story that unfolds is a struggle not only between the two men, but for all involved – the struggle to grasp the meaning of life itself.

Reviews

I'm enjoying this book, Ice, for so many reasons. Russell's descriptions rock me, "throwing back my head I plaster laughter on the ceiling". The story so far talks of great depth. I especially like the depth of understandings between some of the characters, the psychological makeup of character. The expose of the f*wittedness of greed & power undermining our world is blatantly expressed. I can't put the book down.

Ice is a great work of speculative fiction. The characters are well developed, real and interesting, grappling with day to day gripes while trying to save the world from some real major problems.
